Coaches
All RCYH coaches are required to meet the standards set by USA Hockey and the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA). These include annual registration with USA Hockey, completion of background screening, SafeSport certification, age-specific modules, and appropriate coaching certification clinics.

Coaching Requirements
USA Hockey Registration
All coaches must register with USA Hockey before they step on the ice.
Note: A USA Hockey number is required for all RCYH coaching registrations.
Safesport Training
All coaches must complete mandatory SafeSport training annually before participating in any team activities.
Background Screening
Coaches in the State of Wisconsin are required to complete a background check.
Age-Specific Modules
All coaches must complete the age-specific module for the level they are coaching.
Coaching Clinics
All coaches must complete a USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) clinic, earning a certification level appropriate for the age group they are coaching. Clinics are offered annually by USA Hockey—primarily in the fall—and are required to be taken once per year until Level 4 is achieved. Coaches must attend a clinic each season before December 31 to remain eligible for team activities.
