Calling all La Crosse area kids ages 3–9! Come experience the fun of hockey with River City Youth Hockey at Green Island Ice Arena — home of the La Crosse Flames! 🔥

No skating experience? No hockey experience? No problem!

There’s no commitment and no pressure — just a chance to get geared up, step onto the ice, try something new, and HAVE FUN!

River City Youth Hockey is proud to partner with USA Hockey to offer two Try Hockey for Free opportunities this fall and introduce more local kids to the game we love. Our coaches and volunteers will be right there to help your child get comfortable in their gear, get out on the ice, and enjoy their first hockey experience. Whether they’re confidently skating or holding onto the boards for the first time, the goal is simply to have fun!

✨ They don’t need to know how to skate.

✨ They don’t need to own hockey equipment.

✨ They don’t need to sign up for a season.

✨ They just need to come ready to try something new!

ABOUT RIVER CITY YOUTH HOCKEY

River City Youth Hockey is a parent-run nonprofit dedicated to making hockey accessible to all youth in La Crosse, regardless of socioeconomic background or living situation.

RCYH currently serves more than 100 local children, and no child is denied the opportunity to play. Through hockey, we aim to help kids build confidence, friendships, teamwork, leadership skills, and — most importantly — a lifelong love of being active and having fun.
